Delegates of the Ketu North constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Saturday endorsed the candidature of Kofi Dzamesi by popular acclamation as the parliamentary aspirant for the 2016 general elections.
An acclamation which took place at the party’s primaries held in Weta saw over 500 delegates and party elders in the constituency endorse the former Volta Regional Minister as the Parliamentary Candidate for the party in the Ketu North constituency for the third time.

Mr Kofi Dzamesi’s first appearance was in 2004 and later in 2008, losing to the NDC’s James Klutse Avedzi on the two occasions.
He is however confident he will capture the seat in a landslide victory from the incumbent in his third appearance.
In an interview with Citi News Kofi Dzamesi promised to focus on policies to enhance the lives of the youth, women and marginalized in the society.
He promised that given the nod, he will bring his influence to bear by ensuring mechanised agriculture in the area and provide jobs for the unemployed youth.
“I would build ultramodern markets for each of the four traditional areas in the district and also support the activities of our rice farmers. Education delivery would be improved and decent jobs would be provided to our youth” he promised.
