A 36-year-old man is being investigated by the National Security Secretariat for carrying a gun into the church that President John Mahama and his family worship.
The man, according to a statement from the Ministry of Communications was “fidgety” and looked “suspicious.”

President John Mahama and his family who worship at the Ringway Gospel Centre branch of the Assemblies of God Church were not in church yesterday, according to the statement.
Apart from the first family, other key government officials including the Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode attend the same church.
It is unclear yet what the man was hoping to achieve, carrying a gun into the church but the statement from the Communications Ministry, said investigations are still ongoing.
