An Accra Magistrate court has granted bail to Musa Issa, the third accused person involved in the murder of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Upper East Regional Chairman Adam Mahama.

The court, presided over by Justice Worlanyo Kotoku, however, denied bail to the main suspect, Gregory Afoko who is still in Police custody.
The judge ruled that he had no “jurisdiction” to grant bail to Gregory Afoko.
The three suspects Gregory Afoko who is the younger brother of the National Chairman of the NPP Paul Afoko, Asabke Alangbi who is at a large and Musah Issah who is alleged to have bought the acid for the crime have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime and murder.
The NPP Upper East Chairman Adam Mahama was attacked with acid on his way home on 20th May 2015 by two people and later died of extensive acid burns.
