Citi FM, Metro TV, Happy FM and other partners will once again extend support to some flood victims in Osu by distributing some relief items to them.
The project is an initiative aimed at supporting victims affected by the June 3 floods.
[contextly_sidebar id=”lqNSnx8QkK5yqgc9CyfBxWQMrXw50mcX”]The Director of News Programming, Bernard Avle explained that there was the need to reach out to the other communities who had fallen victim to the unfortunate situation.
“We are going to Osu to do a similar thing that we did. Some people need blankets, matresses and water so we will be converging on Osu to give these items to residents there. This is basic supply of items and will not include a medical outreach,” he said.
A number of organisations have donated to support the project since it was launched.
The companies include Ericsson Ghana, Axis Pension Trust Limited, Ghana Insurance Brokers Association, the Rotaract Club, among others.
This is not the first time Citi FM is reaching out to flood victims after the disaster.
There was a similar exercise at Adabraka where residents were supplied with some potable water and other items as well as medical advise to prevent a possible outbreak of cholera.
