Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan is said to be close to sealing a move to Chinese football team Shanghai SIPC and the deal could be done this week.
Shanghai SIPC, who are being handled by former Lazio and England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson, have made their interests public and it seems they are set to bring Gyan to China from Al-Ain on a huge deal that will give Gyan USD 250,000 a week.
However, other Chinese clubs such as Guangzhou Evergrande and Beijing Guoan are also interested in signing Gyan.
Observers say that SIPC want to strengthen their team especially as city rivals have acquired former Chelsea forward Demba Ba and former Everton midfielder Tim Cahill.
