Alajo residents on Tuesday, received free medical screening from Vodafone Ghana Foundation as part of the telecom giant’s support to communities mostly hit by the recent floods.
[contextly_sidebar id=”EXJU9uPFhIczfzWhUnVvhL8GZB79930e”]Under Vodafone Foundation’s Healthfest initiative, the free screening team over the weeks screened Dansoman, Tema New Town and Nungua residents for general medical conditions.
Nana Yaa Ofori-Koree, Director of Vodafone Ghana Foundation and Sustainability said the support is part of Vodafone’s CSR to meet victims’ halfway with their health and other basic needs.
Beneficiaries at the communities where the free screening service happened have expressed their gratitude to Vodafone Ghana Foundation for rallying a team of qualified health personnel to come to their doorstep to educate and exam them at no cost.
Meanwhile, Vodafone Group has supported Vodafone Ghana Foundation with £100,000 to provide relief items to displaced families and support various hospitals nationwide with free medical supplies.
