The death of Adam Alhassan, a student of Dabokpa Senior High/Technical School in Tamale infuriated some students to riot.
They attacked the assistant house mistress bungalow and accused her of negligence which resulted in Adam Alhassan’s death.
By extension, they boycotted lectures and called for the immediate transfer of the assistant house mistress (name withheld).
Two of the rioters were picked to assist the police in their investigations.
The school authorities remained tightlipped on the incident but the chief of Tamale, Naa Dakpema Dawuni Alhassan invited the assistant house mistress to his palace.
The chief’s emissary, Mohammed Hafiz known as entertainment chief (Dema-Naa) met the students and called for calm.
He asked them to comport themselves and cooperate with the police to unravel the mystery surrounding the late Adam Alhassan’s death.
The Dema-Naa pledged Naa Dakpema’s commitment to ensure justice for the deceased family.
