The Peoples National Convention (PNC) youth in the Northern Region are mounting pressure on leadership of the party and the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) to contest the 2016 elections as a united Nkrumaists political party.
Attempts by leadership of the two Nkrumaists parties to contest previous elections as a united front proved futile.

The party’s Northern Regional Communications Director, Seidu Abdulai Napodoo in a Citi News interview concluded that it was impossible for any of the two Nkrumaists political parties to win the 2016 elections, hence the need for the merger.
He anticipated that a PNC and CPP merger could transform their political fortunes to win the 2016 elections.
“We cannot afford to lose the 2016 elections and that is why those who propose that the two parties should merge to form one formidable party for the 2016 general elections we see it to be a good call so we are appealing to the leadership of these two political parties PNC and the CPP to actually let whatever they have decided to materialize.”
He claimed that the NDC had nothing new to offer Ghanaians for which reason a united Nkrumaists political party could be the best alternative in 2016.
“They should let it happen and when it happens then these two political parties will also wrestle power from this incompetent government.”
