An aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate in the Asawase constituency in the Ashanti Region, Alidu Seidu is convinced that Nana Akufo Ado will win the 2016 elections despite the recent rumpus.
[contextly_sidebar id=”k4VJBlcEq9pTKDVEBMAxALeAJKWy1bkc”]“Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Ado will in 2017 become the President of Ghana; there is every confidence about that.”
The NPP has been in tartars following the death of the party’s Upper East Regional Chairman, Adam Mahama.
But Alidu Seidu who is eyeing the Asawase constituency seat is convinced that the recent troubles in the NPP are a sign of victory in 2016.
“In a political movement of this nature in such a game you should expect the unexpected: these are matters that are expected in a political movement like this but you see the NPP we have solid campaign promises.”
Alidu Seidu told Citi News Ghanaians were yearning for the NPP’s return to power to salvage the nation’s ailing economy.
The Asawase NPP Parliamentary hopeful therefore called for unity as the panacea to winning the 2016 general elections.
He accused the ruling NDC of deepening the economic frustrations of the Ghanaian populace.
“Most of the policies that we left behind from 2008 up till now have been quashed off: what is happening in Ghana?” Alidu Seidu asked.
Alidu Seidu promised to win the Asawase seat in 2016 if giving the nod during the Parliamentary primaries.
