The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will hold parliamentary primaries in nine constituencies on Saturday June 27, 2015.
[contextly_sidebar id=”8qeIjOfsKdtZ1Gx3NooTIgJoARlHpcOm”]The party was initially expected to hold primaries in 13 constituencies but had to review the number due to outstanding court issues.
Speaking to Citi News, Director of Elections for the NPP Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah indicated that the party will decide later when to hold the rest of the primaries.
Meanwhile a Polling Station Executive of the NPP in the Gomoa East constituency of the Central Region has placed a court injunction on plans to organize a re-run of the June 13th parliamentary primaries in the constituency.
The complainant, Adolf Nfodjour who is also a delegate is praying the court to declare his favourite aspirant Dr. Danso as the NPP’s Parliamentary candidate elect for the Gomoa constituency.
Mr. Nfodjour is insisting the election which was genuinely won by Dr. Danso must be respected.
