Presidenct John Mahama has reshuffled a number of heads of public institutions and departments.
A statement from the Presidency said the current head of the Youth Enterprise Authority (YEA) Kobby Acheampong has replaced Kofi Attoh as head of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC).
Former National Service Secretariat (NSS) boss, Vincent Kuagbenu takes over from Kobby Acheampong at the YEA, formerly the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA).
A former member of the Dzamefe Commission, Kofi Anokye Owusu Darko replaces Laud Senanu as Chief Executive of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA).
The Head of ICT at the National Identification Authority (NIA), Kwame Griffiths replaces Josiah Cobbah as head of the authority.
At the National Communication’s Authority, NCA, the Director General of National Information Technology William Tevie replaces Paarock Van Percy whose term of office expires.
At the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), a deputy Chief Executive, Nathaniel Otoo replaces Sylvester Mensah as head of the institution.
Earlier, the NHIA boss Sylvester Mensah wrote to the authority’s staff to announce his departure.
“I will have fond memories of our collective passion to succeed, the occasional harsh decisions in our collective interests, the affections and comradeship we have shared, the principled loyalty and esprit de corps inherent in our working relations, as I leave office in the next few days”, Mr. Mensah told the workers.
“It is my conviction that you would accord my successor who has no less capacity and enthusiasm, the same support and co-operation and even more”, he added.
