An unhappy New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant Dr. Dickson Adomako Kissi, who lost to incumbent Shirley Ayorkor Botchway in the Anyaa Sowutoum constituency, has hinted at contesting the seat as an independent candidate.
Dr. Adomako Kissi who lost by just 41 votes fears, the NPP will lose the seat to the NDC under the watch of Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, hence his decision.
When asked by Citi News if he will be going for independent next time, Dr. Kissi gave an affirmative reply, “Yes.”
“We want Nana to win. NPP doesn’t have to lose this seat,” he added.
He expressed his love for all those delegates who voted for him.
Meanwhile, incumbent Member of Parliament, Shirley Ayorkor Boctway who won the primaries called on her other contenders to come together to work for the party.
“There is a lot of work ahead of us,” she stated, “In 2016, we need to come together and work hard to win for NPP.”
“Going forward, we are all working hard for victory in 2016,” she added.
