The University of Education, Winneba on Thursday launched its third five (5)-year strategic plan.
The plan spans from 2014 to 2018.
[contextly_sidebar id=”tjZCCjyLB7SqlEb4JQZNTDjKol1t4d5x”]Similar plans have been adopted by the school in times past, some of which includes 2003-2008 and 2009-2013 which is said to have positively impacted on the teaching and learning of the institution.
The executive secretary of the National Council for the tertiary education, Professor Mahama Duwiejua on the occasion of the launch said that “the university has thoughtfully put together the pieces of information in designing the strategic plan and this would guide our efforts and actions for the next five (5) years (2014-2018).”
In his welcome address, the vice-chancellor of the university of education, Winneba, Professor Akwasi Asabere-Ameyaw explained the rationale for the strategic plan.
The core values of the 2014-2018 strategic plan include; academic excellence, service to community, good corporate governance, judicious utilization and management of funds, teamwork and partnership development, positive work attitude and environmental responsibility.
