It appears one of the main organizers has decided to trade the #dumsormuststop vigil for time in the sun in Miami.
The two-time VGMA artiste of the year, Sarkodie flew to the United States to collaborate with rapper Ace-Hood on a song.
The artiste had been one of the faces behind the vigil and his presence has been widely expected.
Sarkodie tweeted his arrival in the country on May 12 and then shared a 20-second video of the recording on Friday.
It is unclear whether Sarkodie is still in the United States but if he is, he will miss the vigil which is set for Saturday.
The rapper has been very vocal on social media about the current power crises and teamed up with Yvonne Nelson and other celebrities to organize the vigil.
There have been concerns from the Ga Traditional Council that the vigil might go against the current ban on drumming but the Police have sought assurances from the organizers that the conditions set would be adhered to.
