New Patriotic Party Party (NPP) firebrand, Kennedy Agyapong has called of the prosecution of the party’s National Chairman, Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong for the killing of Adam Mahama.
He said failure to do so could lead to a possible collapse of the NPP.

The Police have started a full scale investigations into the incident, arresting one person in the process.
Even though there is no link between the Chairman and General Secretary to the event, Kennedy Agyapong insisted, “Kwabena Agyepong must face the rigorous of the law, Afoko will face it. If they don’t face it, we in the NPP know what to do. I am challenging them…they are the ones behind all the nasty happenings in the party.”
He accused the two [Kwabena Agyepong and Mr Afoko] of instigating the attack, “They are behind it. I believe that Kwadwo Mpiani is now satisfied with what has happened…Kwabena Agyepong you are satisfied. Afoko you are satisfied…I swear, nobody can stop us from this party and if they want this party to collapse then so be it,” he agrily stressed.
Nobody deserves to die
“I have said it; nobody deserves to die in this party. We have helped them to come to power. They have made money which they are now using to kill people.”
The Assin South legislator further called on the Police to expedite investigations into the matter saying “ If the police doesn’t handle this matter properly, you will see what will happen in this country.”
Afoko’s brother fingered
Meanwhile, some have pointed fingers at brother of the National Chairman, Paul Afoko for the killing but Chairman Afoko has denied the allegations saying his brother was asleep at the time of the incident.
Others have also linked the killing to a recent standoff between Paul Afoko and Adam Mahama which was triggered by the disruption of a meeting organized by the former in the region.
Speaking on the Boiling Point on Accra based Oman FM, the Assin South Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong said Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong should be made to face the full rigorous of the law for their actions.
NPP’s flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, Alan Kyeremanten and some influential persons in the party have called for calm.
More pressure on Afoko and Agyapong
In a related development, a founding member of the NPP, George Ayisi Boateng is calling on Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong to resign.
He argued that the two have made the party unpopular among the citizenry hence his call.
