A Senior Leadership Consultant with the International Leadership Foundation Dr. Victor Koh has expressed optimism that Ghana will be the first country to be transformed from a third world to a first world nation.
He says Ghana has both the human and natural resources required for development.
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show, the Singaporean who is in Ghana to help develop the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) said the only thing needed is a strategic plan backed by good leadership.
“Ghana, you are doing quite well, compared to many African countries. By World Bank definition, you have come to middle income but be encourage because you have great capacity to grow. As the nation is focusing on the SADA zone , the northern region, there is so much resources there that can be developed that can contribute to the prosperity and the progress and transformation of Ghana,” he said.
Dr. Koh said: “I believe that your nation Ghana can be the first country to be transformed from a third world to be a first world nation. You have some of the best educated people in Africa and you have all the resources.”
“What you need is good leadership, a clear vision of where you want to go, a good leadership, transformational leadership and you need to have a good strategic plan,” he added.
