The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Biakoye in the Volta Region, Nana Louis Akattah has died.
[contextly_sidebar id=”3g3ASogiqb8vExT7Hj269AR8YnTkcQS5″]Nana Louis Akattah died on Sunday around 6:30am at the Margaret Marquart Catholic Hospital at Kpando.
He has been DCE for Biakoye since 2012.
Confirming his death to Citi News, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Biakoye constituency, Kwesi Bandua said: “I think he has been sick on and off about two days ago he was sent to the hospital and he passed on this morning.”
He added that he had a good working and cordial relationship with the late Akattah.
The Volta Regional Minister, Helen Ntoso visited the late DCE’s family.
The National Democrtaic Congress (NDC) in the Biakoye constituency is expected to meet on Monday to plan for his burial.
His death brings to three, the number of DCEs who have died in recent times.
In March, the DCE for Gomoa East, Isaac Kingsley Ehun-Armah died after resigning on health grounds.
Also, the Nkwanta South DCE, Peter Kojo Penyeso was gunned down by some unknown asailants in November 2014.
