[contextly_sidebar id=”Aw6VAaYuwpRekIWedFsCRDncFabBe8ur”]Ghana has been recently hit with massive corruption scandals prompting many to say the canker is on the rise under the Mahama led administration.
Though the President has on several occasions stated his commitment to fight graft, the issue still persist.
Speaking in an interview with Citi News the member of the Ghana Anti-Corruption campaign coalition, Joe Winful wants the president to review his advisors to ensure that he gets the right feedback on his fight against corruption.
He said for the president’s fight against corruption to be successful, “he will depend on his advisor.”
“The question is, are these advisors and lieutenants and advisors the right ones. Are they really directing him properly or are they just for themselves. That is the shame of it,” he said.
Joe Winful further urged the president to “take a second look at those around him, maybe they are not the ones giving him the right support or advise. Somebody would have to hold somebody accountable and the the bus stops with the President.”
