The National Youth Organizer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Abu Ramadan has declared his intention to contest the National Organizer position of the party in their upcoming congress.
[contextly_sidebar id=”Aliz5jk2fdPtdw83lOy2ijrBbBoDhdia”]Mr. Ramadan said his decision to contest the position stems from the failure of the incumbent Organizer, Emmanuel Wilson to carry out his duties efficiently as expected.
The PNC has announced that it will hold its national congress in August to elect a presidential candidate and new national officers who will run the affairs of the party for the next four years.
Speaking to Citi News, Abu Ramadan said he will bring more vibrancy in the running of the party if elected.
He said the failure of previous National Organizers to properly undertake their duties have largely contributed to the party’s failure to win more Parliamentary seats and make any meaningful impact.
“The party’s organization is a whole job on its own. If you look at the current structure we have now, the Women Organizer and the National Youth Organizer –their offices fall under the National Organizer’s office so if that office is not very effective, strong and well equipped, it will results of the elections just as we had in 2012,” he remarked.
Ramadan added that if he elected, he bring in a new plan and a new strategy which will help the party improve and possibly “win more seats in Parliament than we have and the presidential will make a bigger statement than we have made in previous years.”
