Vlisco representatives visited the Standard Chartered bank on the High Street in Accra to discuss the issues surrounding counterfeiting in the textile industry and share ideas on how to identify a real from a fake Vlisco fabric.
Vlisco Women’s Month nominees, Kokui Selormey an award winning TV presenter and singer, as well as Elizabeth Akua-Nyarko Patterson, founder and CEO of Girl’s Education Initiative Ghana (GEIG) shared their inspirational life stories with the audience and encouraged the women to live their dreams.
The workshop was conducted by the women’s association of the bank in partnership with Vlisco to educate the women on the issue of counterfeiting in the textile industry which is affecting businesses and also shared the 10 facts about Vlisco.
In attendance at the workshop was Eugenia Tachie Menson, Vlisco Ambassador 2014 and the founder of the Spelling Bee in Ghana.
