The regional Director of Education, Alhaji Mohammed Haroon told Citinews on Wednesday that even though there calls for the teacher to be punished immediately, they cannot do that until the committee finds the teacher culpable.
“There are codes and ethics of conduct within the Ghana Education Service which guide us (teachers) on what to do in a cases like this.”
Alhaji Mohammed Haroon went on: “I was at the school on Tuesday to inaugurate the District Disciplinary committee and I have given them five working days to finish their work.”
Alhaji Haroon stated that it is only after the District Disciplinary committee has completed its work and found the teacher culpable that any disciplinary actions can be taken against him.
