The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Ahmed Alhasan has visited Denu in the Ketu South Municipality to discuss the security situation in the municipality.
His visit follows the cell break which happened in the area last Friday.
Some residents of Denu have accused the Police of conniving with the alleged seven criminals who escaped from cell on Friday.
The residents who say the Police authority have failed to give the true account of the events that led to the escape insisted that the Police officers on duty aided the suspected robbers to bolt.
The residents said the Police were intoxicated and asleep on duty.

In a related development the Paramount Chief of Aflao Traditional Area Torgbui Adzonunugaga Amenya Fiti has chastised the police for giving contradicting reports on the cell break.
“If you continue giving us conflicting reports, the people would not support. We don’t have pictures of the guy, we have pictures of the guy; the people struggled with the police, they didn’t struggle with police. What is the reality on the ground?” he lamented.
“We are ready to work with your men and defend the integrity of the police so please open up to us.” he added.
The IGP in his response said the Police would not relent on its efforts to clamp down crime in the area. He however called for the support of residence to assist in rearresting the jail breakers.
“The Police cannot do it alone but with the collaboration of the community and the chiefs, high crime rate will be reduced,” he said.
