Police at Mehame near Hwidiem in the Brong Ahafo Region has arrested a 40-year-old ex-convict Kwadwo Berto for allegedly shooting a farmer to death with a single barrel gun.

Briefing the media, Chief Inspector Paul Kusi, Mehame Police Station Officer said the suspect is ex-convict and is also under police wanted list, on Monday 9, 2015 the deceased went to town to buy cigarette and on his return, he met the suspect scuffling with his (suspect) wife and in an attempt to separated them the suspect pulled his unlicensed gun and shot his abdomen to death instantly.
The suspect was later arrested at his hide out to Mehame police station and currently transferred to at Goaso for interrogation.
He said the body has so far been deposited at Goaso Government Hospital Mortuary waiting for autopsy.
