Speaking on Eyewitness News, the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Divisional Police Commander, ASP Francis Numado said though the lady in question has reported the case to the Police, they are yet to arrest the teacher.
“We went to the campus he was not there so that is why we have delayed in picking him,” he added.
ASP Nyumadu also noted that all 38 students who were arrested in connection with the riot have been granted a Police inquiry bail, adding that, three students of the school are currently in Police custody for being the brains behind the riot.
“All the 38 students who were picked earlier have been granted bail. This afternoon our intelligence led to the arrest of three other people who are the ringleaders of the riot,” he added.
He said the alleged ringleaders have been charged with stealing, rioting and causing damage to the school’s properties.
He however assured that the school is currently calm.
Meanwhile a similar riot at the St Pauls Senior High School, led to the death of one student in the process.
