Surfline is to restore full services to its subscribers next week.

Surfline says it has so far restored more than 70 percent of its network to its subscribers.

Fire gutted Surfline’s data centre in Tema on February 6, 2015 leading to network disruptions.

Its Chief Executive Officer Dr. Yaw Akoto said subscribers will not be charged for services rendered until full restoration next week.

“We appreciate the patience and support of our customers and business partners as well as well wishers and Ghanaians in general. All through the past weekend the network has been free to our customers as we finalize stability test based on feedback we received.”

Dr. Yaw Akoto told the media that throughout the period Surfline had taken the opportunity to increase its capacity of the 4GLTE network services on its network in the bid to further improve the high service quality customers have been enjoying since their commercial launch.

He adds that “our customers will continue to access our 4GLTE network for free over the next few days and we ask that they continue to provide us with feedback on their experience. We expect to be back to business as usual next week and the date will be communicated to customers later.”

Dr. Yaw Akoto assured Surfline communications limited will provide supplementary data to customers and also open the new door for new customers to be part of Surfline.

Meanwhile investigations are still ongoing to unravel the cause of the fire.
