Mobile network operator Tigo has cautioned job seekers about online recruitment companies claiming to provide talent recruitment services for Tigo.
[contextly_sidebar id=”0Ab7ttTbd7kSbjchZCaTrLu3fuSjC2Fj”]“We have noticed several alerts by various talent recruitment companies and anonymous whatsapp messages advertising 250 new positions in our company. This information is false, there are no such vacancies available and Tigo Ghana does not outsource its bulk recruitment needs”, said the Head of Corporate Communications and CR for Tigo Ghana, Gifty Bingley.
She explained that Tigo advertises all its vacancies on the website of its parent company, www.milicom.com and on its LinkedIn page.
“All applications are screened by the Human Resources Department and screened further by the hiring managers before an invitation is extended to applicants for a preliminary panel interview. Successful applicants then go through a second round of interview after the necessary verification checks are done, and may at that point receive an offer from the company”, she explained.
She emphasized that no applicant incurs any cost during the process.
She said the company’s Security department has commenced investigations and will soon identify the source of the scam.
In order not to fall victim to such scams, Gifty Bingley, advised job seekers to note the following when applying for roles within Tigo Ghana.
