Ghana has moved 12 places up in the latest FIFA world ranking to 25th position, and are now 3rd in Africa.

Ghana is likely to climb even further in the next ranking after placing 2nd in the just ended Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
The desert foxes of Algeria are still on top the African chart with reigning African Champions, Cote D’ivoire following keenly at Second place.
The Ivorian’s climbed up 8 places on the table to rank among the top 20 teams in the world.
Tunisia, Cape Verde, Senegal, Nigeria, Guinea, Cameroon and DR. Congo constituted the top ten teams on the African Continent.
The biggest drop on the African continent was 2012 champions Zambia who dropped 10 places to rank 60th in the world.
2015 host Equatorial Guinea had the highest leap on the continent after they moved up sixty-nine 69 places to occupy number 12 position on the African continent.
Meanwhile, Germany continues to rank number one (1) in the world with Argentina, Columbia Belgium and the Netherlands occupying the second (2nd) to fifth (5th) position respectively.
