[contextly_sidebar id=”Czze8GgCbXfpt9yg9VmUqeEANUUVGMZo”]Dr. Tweneboah’s plea for bail was not taken by the court presided over by Worlanyo Kotoku at its last sitting.
Lead counsel for the accused Fiifi Abban was not happy with the court’s bail denial.
According to him Dr. Tweneboah had been on remand for 15 days, and since the alleged offence was bailable the court should have decided otherwise.
But state prosecutor Kwesi Senchen said investigations were still ongoing into the matter, a reason the accused, Dr Tweneboah, should be remanded.
Dr Alexander Tweneboah, and the nine others are believed to have caused financial loss to the state to the tune of over $33 million.
