The third edition of the National Sanitation Day exercise in the metropolis focused on desilting one of the major storm drains at Effia ‘A’ surburb of Takoradi.
Speaking shortly to reporters after his resuscitation, Mr Miah said it has always been the phenomenon anytime they embarked on a major clean up exercise adding that “it is either our equipment mysteriously break down or our personnel are spiritually attacked.”
Mr Miah however could not continue with the exercise as he left for the house while the exercise continued.
The general participation level for all the three National Sanitation Day exercises has been low with some residents blaming it on lack if equipment and other logistics.
Those who graced the exercise include Deputy Western Regional Minister, Alftrd Ekow Gyan, presiding member of the STMA, Mohammed Ali and Regional MTTU commander, ASP Michael Zaa.
