A bus suspected to be one of the missing 12 Metro Mass Transit (MMT) buses has been intercepted by the Police in Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region.
The colour of the bus with registration number GE 7503 Z, had been changed from the original orange and black to cream.

Workers of the MMT about a week ago embarked on a nationwide strike to demand the dismissal of the Board Chairman and Deputy Managing Director of the company over the disappearance of the 12 buses belonging to the company.
They alleged that the board chair and the Deputy Managing Director were responsible for the disappearance of the buses.
According to the Tachiman Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Twumasi Ankrah, his officers intercepted the bus based on a tip-off from Nkoransah that, the said bus had passed Nkoransah.
Chief Superintendent Twumasi Ankrah said upon the tip-off he informed his men on the road who intercepted the bus.
He noted that the driver of the vehicle has been detained by the police for investigations and confirmation from the national office of the MMT.
However the brother of the owner of the vehicle who was with the driver hinted to Citi News that his brother bought the vehicle last year from the Metro Mass Transport authorities
