President John Mahama on Wednesday marked his two years in office as President of Ghana on the farm of a young cocoa farmer at Assin Senchem in the Central Region.
The President was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Prosper Bani, the CEO of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), Dr. Stephen Opuni, the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Fifi Kwetey, the Central Regional Minister, Acquinas Quansah among other dignitaries.
The 35-year-old cocoa farmer, Samuel Tobi owns a 13-acre cocoa farm and is currently the Assin North Municipal best cocoa farmer.
The President helped Mr. Tobi and his workers to break cocoa pods to retrieve the seeds for drying.
