Citifmonline.com has gathered that the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has procured about 700 pieces of desktop calenders from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) despite calls by President Mahama on Ghanaians to patronise of made in Ghana goods.
Sources at KMA told citifmonline.com that the desktop calenders will be distributed to top officials in the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies in Ghana.
The boxes numbering ten (10) contains 70 pieces of the calenders.
The cost of the calenders is not yet known.
Meanwhile, the PRO of KMA, Godwin Okumah Nyame has declined to comment on the issue.
This follows the stocking of the Parliament Chamber with furniture procured from China; an issue that raised massive public uproar in the country.
