The National Democratic Party (NDP) has enjoined Ghanaians to enter the New Year in “very positive spirits, believing in ourselves as the foundation and essence of good governance.”
Making the call in a New Year Message, the party pointed out to Ghanaians that the New Year should serve as “a perpetual reminder of the pillars of our constitutional democracy, namely, social justice, probity and accountability, and decentralized participation in decision-making, at all levels of national life.”
The party therefore urged government to do more to improve the national economy, in order to make Ghanaians the “essence of democratic governance.”
The NDP was optimistic that year 2015 will offer Ghanaians another great opportunity to renew their hope in the economy, as they worked hard for the peace, tranquillity, development and prosperity of the nation.
