It was all fun and play as IdonateGh stormed the JayNii Streetwise Foundation in Jamestown on Christmas Day to celebrate the birth of Christ with the in-house orphans and street children
Namerl Tagoe, the brain behind IdonateGh mentioned that the motive behind this year’s party was to fulfill IdonateGh’s mission and vision which is; “to improve the lives of the vulnerable/ less privileged/ orphans in our society” and “envisioning a world where the less fortunate will have access to basic necessities of life, especially, food, clothing, shelter and also have a sense of belongingness”
The party, which lasted all day was sponsored by Papa’s Pizza, Clompas, Jive Juice, Indomie Noodles and individual partners.
The Foundation was given twenty five boxes of Indomie, a hundred t-shirts, two hundred exercise books and fifteen aprons from Indomie Ghana.
Items of clothing were also donated and there was a lot to eat and drink at what was the ultimate Christmas party.
The children were served tasty noodles for lunch by a team from Indomie Ghana.
This initiative by Namerl Tagoe, a 22 year old national service personnel caught the attention of social media from where she got volunteers to interact with the children and serve as mentors to them.
The orphans were treated to barbecue, ice cream, cup cakes, fruit juice etc and they returned the favour by thrilling the throng with dance performances and well rehearsed choreography.
IdonateGh intends to make this an annual activity and is calling on all Ghanaian citizens to see the need to give back to society regularly to ensure rapid national development
