The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has begun investigations into circumstances that led to the crash-landing of an Ethiopian cargo plane at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).

According to the Corporate Communications Officer of Ghana Airport Company, Newman Quartey the plane “skidded off the runway” while trying to land safely.
Though the cause of the accident is not yet known, some have attributed it to bad weather conditions.
Meanwhile, the three persons who who were sent to the 37 military hospital for treatment have been discharged.
According to a statement released by the GCAA, while operations are normal and all flights are operating on schedule, “the Civil Aviation Authority has commenced initial investigations find the cause of the accident.”
