Some 15 persons on Monday picketed at the Ministry of Water resources, Works and Housing over the suspension of the Managing Director of the company.

A three-member committee was then tasked to investigate the allegations of financial malfeasance against the MD.
They protested for about 30 minutes and left the Ministry, promising to return later in the day.
But speaking to Citi News the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the ministry Abraham Otabil said the Ministry is unperturbed about the brief demonstration.
According to him, the Ministry doubted that the protestors were workers of the SHC
“It is the workers themselves who brought the petition against their MD, so it’s not possible for them to be behind the demonstration,” he said.
According to reports, at the time of their protest, the Minister and his Deputy had not reported to work yet.
