The Ghana Police Service has appealed to the general public to take personal security measures to complement the efforts of the Police personnel who have been deployed across the country.
[contextly_sidebar id=”3mwIXIBangPGaVPqiWp3TPqIXLIBPESD”]To ensure a peaceful yuletide, the Police have increased their visibility and patrols within the capital and nationwide.
The Public Relations Officer at the Accra Police Command, ASP Effia Tenge in an interview with Citi News advised residents in Accra to continue observing all the security tips which have they have been given.
“We want to entreat the general public to continue to observe personal security strategies that they have we have given them. They should continue to observe them,” she advised.
According to her, the Christmas and New Year festivities are far from over therefore, Police personnel are “intensifying our presence as expected even to the peril of our lives for the safety and security of Ghanaians.”
ASP Tenge commended the efforts of the Police personnel on the ground for maintaining law and order on Christmas day.
“Due to the adequate security measures and massive deployment of personnel in our communities, I believe there is enhanced security and not much security threats have been recorded on Christmas day,” she remarked.
