The newly elected Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has indicated that the Mahama-led administration has good stories to tell, and that the communication team would have to do more.
According to Mr. Anyidoho, government’s inability to effectively communicate its successes and achievements sends the signal that much is not being done to develop the nation.

The former Director of Communications under the late President John Mills’ administration told Citi News, he is now bringing to the fore his observation because , “it would have been self-serving.”
He was elated that his election as Deputy General Secretary will give him the platform to use his communication expertise to enlighten Ghanaians on the good works of the NDC government.
“Now that I have the mandate to speak on behalf of the party, that is one thing that I am going to do,” he promised.
Mr. Anyidoho disclosed that during his campaign trips across the country prior to the party’s national delegates’ congress, the grassroot members of the NDC were “worried” that the failures of the party’s communication team will lead to the NDC’s defeat in 2016.
“You go on the ground and people are worried…our communication is a big problem,” he said.
He was however confident that serving under the able leadership of his boss, Johnson Asiedu Nketia will help improve the fortunes of the party in 2016.
Koku Anyidoho promised to “manage to hem the issues and smoothen the rough edges because it’s not nice. our communication is a big problem.”
