Speaking to Citi News, the Madina Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Natoamah Yakubu Aggrey said his outfit conducted the swoop to enable the suspects assist the Police in investigation.
He was hopeful the arrest of the suspects will give the Police some clues which would lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
“The suspects are under severe screening and we are hoping that at the end of the day, we will get suspects who will be linked to the murder of the Melcom incident,” said Chief Supt. Aggrey.
The 32 suspects were drawn from Madina Jamaica, Madina Nkulenu and the suburbs around the La Nkwantanan assembly.
Their offences include possession of drugs suspected to be Indian hemp, use of unregistered motorbikes among others.
“At least, if we are not able to get them, some clues might be obtained which will lead to the arrest of the suspected murders,” he added.
