Citi FM has made impact – Paul Adom Okeyere
The first Current Affairs Editor of Citi FM, Paul Adom Okyere commended Citi FM for continuing to make the impact in the 10 years it has been in operation.
Speaking at the thanksgiving and commemoration service of the station, Mr. Okyere recalled that the principal focus for setting up the station was to practice the missing principle in broadcasting; the legal basis of a story.
This, he said what set Citi FM apart from the many radio stations operating in the country.
“Therefore, legal analysis became important and now, we have 10 lawyers called to the bar who are all former workers of Citi FM,” he said.
“We had to convince them that making money was good but influencing society and contributing to change was important,” he remarked.
Mr. Adom Okyere who is the host of Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV expressed his appreciation to the chairman of Omni Media Limited, Nick Amartefio for inspiring the new generation of journalists by sharing his various experiences which spurred them on to make a change through radio.
