About 1,600 youth in the area will be recruited as laborers, Yendi Municipal Chief, Issah Zakariah disclosed this in an exclusive interview.

According him, 60 labourers have so far being recruited for the start.

Issah Zakariah spoke to Citi News on a wide range of issues on the sidelines during the celebration of the 2014 Linujil (yam festival) at Bunbong-Naayili in the Yendi Municipality.

He gave the assurance that the eastern corridor road will be completed on schedule.

“The contractors will hit the ground by 5th November according to their time table and they will start from Yendi to Damankun and from Yendi towards Gushiegu.”
