On this week’s edition of Vodafone Icons Remix Edition, there was a lot of excitement at Icons contestants thrilled the audience to popular tunes under the theme “Back in the Day”.

As custom demanded, Vodafone Icons judges had to apply the carrot and rod system where the best act for the night was rewarded and the worst act was usually evicted.

Despite the fun-filled performances of the contestants, confusion was sit in the camp of the judges as they were torn between which of the contestants to adjudge as the Best Act of the Evening.

Our funkiest Miss Naa was all in for the idea of giving the best act award to 19-year old Titi for her excellent rendition of “I Feel Good” from the camp of James Brown. “Judging from the way Tiiti’s performance swayed the audience to dance and sing along, I’m convinced she’s our girl for the night,” Miss Naa held. Nevertheless, two of the judges, Anita Erskine and Gena West, were all solidly behind Alice for her splendid performance of Los del Rio’s Macarena.

Since the long arguments between the judges didn’t yield results, Miss Naa threw the matter to the audience in the auditorium of the National Theatre. She simply demanded of the anxious audience to vote by chanting the loudest for the contestant they thought was the best. The audience sort of agreed with Miss Naa’s choice of Tiiti.

In the course of the show, the newest anchor of Vodafone Icons Remix, Chris Attoh tried effortlessly to negotiate with show officials to see if they could get an extra award for both finalist of the best act of the evening.  At the end of the day, Anita and Gene didn’t give in to views of the fans and Miss Naa so the award was given to Alice.

Evictees, Eli and Hannah rocked the audience with their farewell performances for the Icons audience.
