The Citi Breakfast Show has been named the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana Radio Programme of the Year.
The award was presented to Citi FM at 25th Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Performance Awards held at the Banquet Hall of the State House on Saturday night. Citi FM also won the award for the Media Organization of the year at the event.

“Your listeners continue to laud you for using your platform to educate them on their civic duties and responsibilities, promoting good governance and citizenship, social accountability and creating a platform for brands and businesses to reach your discerning and vibrant audiences.
“Your ability to use voice, creativity and art to hold your audience captive 24/7 continues to fill every home with satisfaction and a desire for more.
“You have never ceased to amaze your listeners who continue to applaud you. These have also caught the attention of your evaluators who have rated you highly,” the citation read.
Explaining why the Citi Breakfast Show is what it is, Bernardino Avle – the host of the show – explained that the team goes the extra mile to ensure quality is served to the listener.
He explained that the show seeks to create an effect, to get the right things done and ensure Ghana ends up as the ultimate winner.
The Citi Breakfast is hosted by Bernardino Koku Avle and co-hosted by Kojo Akoto Boateng, Godfred Akoto Boafo, Nana Ama Agyemang Asante and Richard Dela Sky.
The five of them bring on board their strengths in different areas including politics, governance, economics, health, education, sports, music etc to run the most influential breakfast show in Ghana.
