International businessman, Mo Ibraham, has stated that the seeming high political temperature in Ghana is hampering the absolute democratic development of the country.
According to him, Ghana and Senegal would see more democratic improvement if the intensity in the political temperature in both countries was reduced.
“Ghana and Senegal are good countries. Very wonderful democratic countries. They have very good natural resources,” the businessman told the BBC.

He was speaking on the 2014 Ibrahim Index of African Governance.
Ghana was ranked seventh out of 52 countries on participation in governance and human rights.
Ghana retained its 2013 position on the ranking, increasing its score by 1.6 to 68.2 per cent on the four thematic areas of Safety and Rule of Law, Participation and Human Rights, Sustainable Economic Opportunity and Human Development.
