Ghanaian actress, Joselyn Dumas, has embarked on a campaign dubbed ‘Xcholera Campaign’ to help fight cholera in the country.
As part of activities marking the campaign, Dumas has visited places like the Okaishie and Kaneshie markets to educate traders on the need to keep their environments clean.
On Wednesday, Dumas and her team took the campaign to the Nima market to sensitise the traders on dangers of cholera.
She urged the traders to regularly wash their hands with soap and keep their surroundings free from filth. The actress also urged them to eat their food hot.
These, according to her, will help them stay clear of Cholera.
Speaking to the media later, Miss Dumas indicated that it was her wish to see all Ghanaians live a healthy life free of cholera.
She pledged to visit more markets before moving on to the next phase of her campaign.
With support from Lifebuoy, Ernest Chemist, and Aquatork Water Company, Dumas distributed free Oral Rehydration Salt (ORS) and soaps to the traders.
She expressed her gratitude to the traders for hosting her at the market.
Dumas was supported by fellow actress, Deborah Vanessah, employees of Fidelity bank, and other volunteers.
