Patients on admission at the Goaso Government Hospital in the Brong Ahafo Region have expressed frustrations about the invasion of their beds by bed bugs, claiming that it is affecting their treatment.
The children, male and female wards as well as the emergency unit are the worst affected.

They also decried the insanitary conditions at the facility.
The Administrator of the Hospital Mr. Sampson Namiak who confirmed the bugs’ invasion said plans are underway to fumigate the hospital soon.
“So hopefully we will be able to deal with this situation as soon as possible. It is not the best for this to happen in a hospital. The patients are not comfortable and this is not good,” he said.
