The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold primaries in some parts of the Greater Accra Region on Friday to elect executives at the Constituency level.
This election will be ahead of the party’s congress scheduled for October 24,2014 to elect new National Executives.
[contextly_sidebar id=”Nm0jRdqGgpB4WKgsE2MBX0DN2v5TdFaE”]The Accra Fast High Court on Friday, restrained the two affiliates of the party: the Ningo Constituency and the Greater Accra Regional Executive Committee, from holding its elections but four other Constituencies will hold primaries on Friday.
They include Tema East, Tema West, Tema Central and Krowor Constituencies.
The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, Ade Coker said the party will pursue the matter in court.
In a related development, the Eastern Regional Coordinator of the National Disaster and Management Organisation(NADMO), Ransford Owusu Boakye has said he is convinced he will win the NDC regional elections.
He made this declaration after touring all constituencies in the region.
Mr. Owusu Boakye also called on party members to remain united during and after the party’s elections.
According to Citi FM’s Eastern Regional Correspondent, Kwame Appiah Kubi , Mr. Boakye was “optimistic he will be victorious in the party’s regional elections after touring all the constituencies in the region.”
