Medical test conducted on the blood sample of a man suspected carrying the deadly Ebola disease on admission at the Tamale Teaching Hospital has proven negative.
The result was released on Monday August 11, 2014 by the Noguchi Memorial Institute.
For medical reasons and to avoid violating the human right of the patient, the hospital management would not disclose the exact sickness the man is suffering from.
The man whose appearance at the accidents and emergency unit of the Tamale Teaching Hospital scared the hospital staff has now been moved from the abandoned block where he was dumped to one of the special wards for treatment.
Following Citi News’ report on the issue, the Northern Regional Coordinating Council has summoned authorities of the regional health directorate to discuss how the situation can be contained in case of any eventuality.
