Security Agencies at the Ghana-Togo border have apprehended seven suspected armed robbers at Nehobe a suburb of Aflao.
This news comes after the Volta Regional minister promised to toughen sanctions against residents who have hijacked illegal entry points in the Region.
The suspects allegedly attacked victims and stolen an amount within the region of GH¢300.
They were arrested after residents in the area sent in calls to the Ho Police division complaining about a robbery attack in the area.
A machete, three knives and a parcel of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp were retrieved from the suspects after their arrests.
They are currently in Police custody and are expected to be arranged before court for trial soon.
