The remains of former Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission, the late Paul Victor Obeng will be laid in state later on Thursday at the State House as the processes to bid him farewell begins.
P.V Obeng died on May 17 after suffering a cardiac arrest.
A remembrance service will be held for him at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Tema before being laid in state later in the day.
Mr Obeng served in the Rawlings administration and was a senior advisor to the late President John Mills and continued in a similar role under current President, John Mahama.
He was the chairman of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Council and the Chief Consultant and Chairman of OB Associates; a public and private sector consulting firm and also, the chairman of Ghana Agro and Food Company.
